Using Ubuntu 11.10, I am having a problem browsing web pages. I tested my connection by pinging different sites. All of them reply to me, but my browsers do not work. The problem is not specific to one browser, as I have tested both Firefox and Chromium. This is the wget output when run in Terminal:
Dec 17, 2013 · I just installed Ubuntu on my newly built PC but I can't seem to get the internet working. I got to the point where it says that my connection is established after I edited the IPv4 stuff but when I try to open up a website it says connection failed bla bla bla If it matters, Ubuntu didn't USB mouse isn't working either. I don't currently have any way to test the Thunderbolt or DisplayPort connections on the dock. I assume this is a driver thing, but I can't find anywhere on the Dell Support (or otherwise) website that has drivers for the WD19TB dock for Ubuntu. Apr 11, 2012 · This is the solution towards not having a network connection (or getting out to the internet) when on Windows Server 2008 Datacenter and Enterprise Edition (full install) running on VirtualBox. Did a fresh install and everything was fine. After a reboot I find there is no network connection at all. I rebooted again and it was there, then I rebooted after that and it wouldn’t connect again. Bringing the interface down and up seems to work, but I shouldn’t have to manually do this. Something is wrong. It didn’t do this on the prior version.
